You know when you meet some folks and you know that you immediately “click”? Well, I adore this family and felt like we clicked right from the start. I had the pleasure of first meeting Lindsey and Matt for maternity photos when she was expecting their first child, Nash. And now, I’m honored to have also documented, for them, yet another precious addition, Anderson. She’s darling and though she didn’t care too much about sleeping at the beginning of her newborn session, she eventually gave in, fell asleep and let us get some pretty pictures of her! My favorite moment was hearing big brother, Nash affectionally call her, “Baby sista”!

How did Mom & Dad meet?

How did you tell family and friends you were expecting? We got Nash a “big brother” t shirt to wear!

What was the best, most surprising or most difficult thing being pregnant?  Well we were not supposed to be able to get pregnant on our own. Our 2 year old son is an ivf baby. Anderson was a wonderful surprise! It’s definitely tough being pregnant and chasing around a 2 year old! On the upside the pregnancy goes by really fast.

Did you find out the gender beforehand? Yes we found out the gender at 11 weeks through genetic testing . We didn’t care either way but it’s fun to have one of each gender.

List the possible baby names, and how you narrowed it down?

How did baby prep go?  Ha! Poor Anderson doesn’t have a real nursery yet. She’s using most of her brothers hand-me-downs and sleeping in our room currently! She has a ton of clothes though ;)

Was labor and delivery what you expected? If not, tell us how things were surprising or not what you expected.

Did baby look a lot like Mom, Dad or other siblings? Did you have fun with comparing baby photos?

What were Mom’s first thoughts when she saw her baby? And Dad? She had some bruising on her face and a birthday mark on her arm so I was just wondering if she was ok! Matt was just glad I was okay and that she was out safely! She was a big girl, too, at 8 pounds 2 ounces!

What have the first few weeks at home with baby been like? The first few weeks have flown by . Her brother loves her but doesn’t quite understand to whisper or to hug her gently yet! He will learn and she will be tough for sure.
