Brandon MS | Newborn Photographer | Anderson

You know when you meet some folks and you know that you immediately “click”? Well, I adore this family and felt like we clicked right from the start. I had the pleasure of first meeting Lindsey and Matt for maternity photos when she was expecting their first child, Nash. And now, I’m honored to have also documented, for them, yet another precious addition, Anderson. She’s darling and though she didn’t care too much about sleeping at the beginning of her newborn session, she eventually gave in, fell asleep and let us get some pretty pictures of her! My favorite moment was hearing big brother, Nash affectionally call her, “Baby sista”!

Anderson Jane

Blind date . My coworker was dating Matt’s best friend and they set us up!

We got Nash a “big brother” t shirt to wear!

Well we were not supposed to be able to get pregnant on our own. Our 2 year old son is an ivf baby. Anderson was a wonderful surprise! It’s definitely tough being pregnant and chasing around a 2 year old! On the upside the pregnancy goes by really fast.

Yes we found out the gender at 11 weeks through genetic testing . We didn’t care either way but it’s fun to have one of each gender.

_P4A6535List the possible baby names, and how you narrowed it down?
My maiden name is Smith, so that was an option. Our sons name is a family name and unique so we wanted her name to be different and have meaning too! Anderson is Matts great great grandfathers first name. My great grandmothers name was Janie so that’s how we chose Jane.

Ha! Poor Anderson doesn’t have a real nursery yet. She’s using most of her brothers hand-me-downs and sleeping in our room currently! She has a ton of clothes though ;)

This labor and delivery was a piece of cake compared to my first. I was rushed to surgery immediately after Nash and had two blood transfusions, it was super scary. I was induced with Anderson and the labor and delivery were text book and I have felt great!
_P4A6502Did baby look a lot like Mom, Dad or other siblings? Did you have fun with comparing baby photos?
We thought she looked like her brother in ultrasound photos but now that she’s here we can’t decide who she looks like yet.

She had some bruising on her face and a birthday mark on her arm so I was just wondering if she was ok! Matt was just glad I was okay and that she was out safely! She was a big girl, too, at 8 pounds 2 ounces!

The first few weeks have flown by . Her brother loves her but doesn’t quite understand to whisper or to hug her gently yet! He will learn and she will be tough for sure.

2017-04-28_0006You can even write a little bit about your baby’s newborn session if you’d like.
The newborn session was great ! I was surprised how well Nash did with her. Towards the end she didn’t want to sleep but Destiny got some great shots of her! We love all of the photos!
