How did Mom & Dad meet?
Brian and I have know each other since we were little. Our families grew up together. It wasn’t until Brian graduated college and moved back home that we finally got together and we have been together since!

How did you tell family and friends you were expecting?
We told our families at Christmas. Our little boy is 3 years old and we got him a shirt made saying “Santa promoted me to big brother”. It was exciting letting Will be the one to tell everyone.
What was the best, most surprising or most difficult thing being pregnant?
The best thing about being pregnant the second time was getting to experience it with Will. He was so excited and constantly kissed and loved on my belly!

Did you find out the gender beforehand? What were both Mom and Dad’s reactions.
We did find out the gender beforehand. I don’t think I could have waited to the end to find out. We kind of had a feeling it was a girl and when we got the for sure, we were super excited!
List the possible baby names, and how you narrowed it down?
Mamie was a name that I had picked out for a little girl long before I even thought about being pregnant. Mamie was my grandmothers name. We decide on Jane because it was Brians grandmothers name and Mamie Jane just fits together!!

How did baby prep go?
We were kind of slackers when it came to decorating the nursery but it eventually came together at then end.
Was labor and delivery what you expected? If not, tell us how things were surprising or not what you expected.
Labor and delivery was awesome. I had no problems and the experience was great!

 
Did baby look a lot like Mom, Dad or other siblings? Did you have fun with comparing baby photos?
I still can’t decide who she looks like. I see a little bit of everyone in her. But she is starting to favor her brother a little!
What were Mom’s first thoughts when she saw her baby? And Dad?
We were in love instantly.
