What do you see? Do you see the bond between a mother and her baby? Do you see the love, the comfort little Scarlett finds in her mommy and the joy in both of their faces? I sure hope so, because that is exactly what I see! The beauty of motherhood is truly captivating. God has gifted us with an amazing capacity to love, nurture, create life, speak life and the one of the greatest…to endure countless sleepless nights! As a mommy who has had three nurslings and one weaning now, I find nourishing a little one in this way so familiar and natural; and as a newborn photographer, it is so amazing to see these little moments in brand new and established bonds with mothers and their babies each week. Whether they are bottle or breastfeeding, the connection I see between them is something I’m so grateful to witness.
I was honored to have met Linnea and Scarlett during her newborn session one year ago and since then, we’ve become great friends and I have seen this sweet baby girl grow into this fun, happy and most beautiful toddler! Throughout the year, Linnea mentioned a few times about wanting some photos for her to remember and cherish this sweet season her life, ones of nursing her baby. We scheduled Scarlett’s first birthday session, designed the cake smash set up and coordinated outfits for a few family photos and it seemed like with the goings on of ‘rallying the troops’ for picture day, that we may not have the chance to get these. Thankfully, Scarlett was a little fussy the day of her session, so she and mommy came back the next morning, captured her beautiful smiles and then this! This happened! We caught these magical moments between mother and daughter. Wow, I am so thankful for every moment, even the ones that cause us to reshoot or reschedule. After all, it is sometimes in those moments that the magic happens.
In celebration of World Breastfeeding Week, I would like to introduce to you: Linnea & Scarlett.

So gorgeous!!! I adore the shadowed shot from above.
Thank you, Chelsea!!
I absolutely love these. I am still nursing my 16 month old, but am a photographer so I am usually on the other side of the camera. Just beautiful. :)
I know the feeling, Sam! I have a 20 month old and recently had a nursing photoshoot done also. It was totally worth it and will be cherished for a lifetime.
These are absolutely stunning!!!
These are by far the most beautiful photos I have ever ever seen
